No Longer Taking Orders

I unfortunately will no longer be taking orders until further notice. It has just proved too difficult at this time to take care of a newborn and a toddler and still put 100% into my work. I've had overwhelming response to my Christmas decor/wreaths thanks to Pinterest. I hate having to turn down orders, but it's something I have to do at this time. Hopefully I will be able to return to painting and designing soon. I really thought I would be able to do it all, but as of now I need to concentrate solely on being a mother and a wife.

I will still be posting some of my work as I still have a few orders I am working on for Christmas.

Pinterest Project/Idea-Yarn wreath for Cooper

I saw some yarn wreaths on Pinterest and thought it would be cute for my friend Melissa and baby Cooper on the way. She wanted something simple and modern to hang on their door when he arrives. I did the wreath in her nursery colors (which I LOVE). It was fun to make but it did take forever to wrap the yarn around it.

New client Natalie is due in August with a little boy, just a few days before me. She found an abstract she liked and wanted me to do something similar with her nursery colors and add the monogram in the middle.

This 30x40 will go above the crib. I love how it turned out. So different!

New client Haley contacted me early this summer. She is a referral from a good friend. I love referrals!

She has cute nursery done in pink and brown polka dots, but wanted to break up the pink and brown a bit. She wanted something similar to what i had done in the past.

I'm finally finished and shipped it out today!

The pink and brown pattern around her name is the same pattern she has in her rug.

She also requested some canvas initial letters to match.

I hope she enjoys them!

My BFF's little girl turned 4 in January! So her mom is in the process of doing her big girl room.

I made her a 24x36 name sign to match the colors in her room and repainted some existing letters for her.

I just finished this personalized canvas reproduction for a friend's nursery. The artist of the original image is unknown, but she found it online and wanted it on a larger scale with Finn's name on the license plate. I was a bit overwhelmed at first because I have never painted anything like this before. It was a challenge but it was fun! It looks much better in person. I can never get the colors quite right on the camera.

I'm excited to see it up in the nursery!

My friend contacted me to paint her some small wooden signs to use for her wedding in a couple of weeks. They are getting married in Belize!!! (jealous)

The wedding colors are ivory and seafoam green with a very vintage theme. It's going to be so beautiful!

These signs will be used in some photos they will be taking on some antique bicycles.
I can't wait to see how the photos turn out!

These signs will tie around their chairs at the reception.
It's hard to tell in the photos but these have a bit of a crackle finish on the paint.

This HUGE baby is going wrapped up and going to Chicago!

I have been working on this for awhile now and so glad to see it finished! My husband is glad to have the garage back too :)

The client wanted to cover a large area over his bed so we came up with a collage of (5) 18x18's & (5) 18x36's. These sizes will also cut down on shipping costs.

I can't wait to see it in place!

My friend Jaclyn has a chair and doll crib that was hers when she was little. She asked me to paint it for her daughter for Christmas this year. I painted a canvas for her room earlier this year.

These pieces are about 30 years old! They were white when I got them, so I repainted them an antique white (to match her bedroom furniture) and added some pinks and greens to match her room.

I am finally finished with this 24x48 painting for baby Spencer's nursery. This one too FOReva! I love how it turned out. The pattern is so detailed and I love the color combination. The green looks a little off because of my camera flash. It's a light lime green to match the bedding below.

With that being said, I have A LOT on my plate right now so there will be a bit longer wait than normal for new orders. I wanted to share my love for a blog I found last week. I have an obsession with perusing HGTV's Rate My Space website. I love seeing ideas from others and how they put together their homes. I came across NYCLQ (Lynda's) photos on this website and fell IN LOVE with her style and "repurposing" (love that word)and arranging of items throughout her home. I just love that she changes it up so much. I have found myself with the same look throughout my house for years.

I am so inspired by her home and want mine to look just like it :)
